Customer Service Number - Where is it?
It seems that more and more companies today are making it next to impossible to find their customer service phone numbers. Why is that. I think it would have been easier for me to find the number for King Tut than it was for me to dig up the customer service number for Yahoo last year. It made me so crazy that I started a forum here on this website just for talking about Yahoo's customer service number. But, why is it that companies have to hide their customer service phone numbers like that? Do they not want to talk to their customers? Do they not want to pay for 800 number charges? What is the deal? Anyone?

01-03-2006January 03, 2006 Q. I am a faithful reader of your column and am always fascinated by your ability to ferret out answers. I, too, have a problem and would like your help. In June 1959, I purchased a set of "InKor" triple-ply 18/8 stainless steel pots and pans. They have served me well for thousands of meals. The bolt assembly attaching the handles to the pans has rusted and deteriorated the composite handles. I would like to have the company address or phone number to request a set of duplicate handles. I am very reluctant to give up my set for one of today's brands. Surefire Hires - Destination CRM
01-03-2006Getting Over the Hiring HillIdentify Desirable TraitsExpecting to hire the best-suited agents for a specific job without pinpointing the required skills and attributes will surely complicate your hiring strategy. But an equal hindrance is attempting to hire service stars without understanding how customers perceive your current level of service delivery. That's "putting the cart before the horse," according to Jodie Monger, Ph.D., president of Customer Relationship Metrics. "You truly have to understand perception of service that's being delivered, so that you can hire [people] that can in fact deliver in that [desired] manner."
